The idea that became Clients
& Profits was first suggested
by the owner of Los Angeles-based
advertising agency who
was frusrated with the
lack of job tracking software
for his then-new Mac Plus.
The shop had been struggling
with Great
Plains, a generic accounting
program, and it just wasn't
working. On a piece of
note paper, he sketched
what he wanted in an electronic
job jacket. That sketch
later become the "job ticket"
and the foundation of Clients
& Profits.
